Friends of Friends

A night over at friends is known to us since we were kids. Besides the financial aspects we also prefer to stay in a warm and private atmosphere; a private apartment. Due to online platforms such as Couchsurfing, Hospitalityclub and Airbnb, it has become a widely used way of sleeping over. Instead of the rather clean hotels, people are looking for a more intimate place. This also helps to cross the gap between a tourist and a local much easier.
These shifts are asking for new and better solutions, both for the host and the guest. Nomadic and convertible. Which objects are necessary? How can we integrate them into the room, so that they don’t stand in one’s way when not in use?
