Studio Matthias Ries has been established in 2006 and since then has worked in various design disciplines, has received multiple design awards and has been published in numerous magazines. A strong network of freelance partners enables Matthias to find the best fitting solution for the individual needs of his clients.
In the past few years he has been more and more incorporating the theoretical implications of design and cultural sciences and has been working as a lecturer and professor at different design schools. He is a doctoral research Fulbright alumni and currently is a full professor of product design at the HAWK – University of Applied Sciences and Art Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen (hawk.de/g)
Due to this broad experience across disciplines Matthias also works as an external consultant or moderator of internal processes and strategies.
Adding research based and methodological work to the process strengthens his clients to be more sustainable, weather proof and lasting on the long run and not focusing on short term solutions and unsteady trends.
