My Home is My Cup of Tea
We are investigating the word Heimat, which is German for home, but in a wider sense. It is a word, that is merely definable and even the social sciences have no clear view on it. We will do a text based research on this word and will try to come up with a broader understanding of it.
In addition I have invited three artists to do a workshop for four days and to encircle the Heimat concept with the help of scenography, media art and choreography. in the end every student/small group of students did a performance, regarding their own feelings and definition towards Heimat. That way, I tried to teach them a method of approaching a topic from a wide range of perspectives and disciplines. In the end, the resulting concepts and ideas are usually much stronger, than just approaching it from a designers perspective. In cooperation with:
