Branding Detmolder Schule
Every year, the number of freelancers is increasing, yet, not everyone has learned how to deal with the bureaucratic world and what it takes to run a business. In this seminar, we tried to present the whole world of running a small business or start up. Every week, we gave new input and the students had to work on a small exercise. The last five weeks, they additional had to create a whole new fictional brand of our schools design department. This included all the steps, we were talking about so far.
Among the individual lecture topics were: type of enterprise, freelance or industry, taxation, VAT, account management, financing, industrial property rights, calculation, contracts, income, corporate identity and design, typography, portraits, company name, marketing, positioning, networking, web site, cms, acquisition, elevator pitch, trade fairs, press kit, etc.
