The Fireside Inn; Mission, SD
The Fireside Inn is one of the four bars and restaurants in Whiteclay that sell alcohol. The reason why I mention this is because Whiteclay is a 10-house town that sells nearly 5 million cans of beer every year; that is 13.000 cans a day. It is also the first village outside the Pine Ridge Oglala Sioux reservation in South Dakota, where possessing and consuming alcohol is prohibited and that suffers from an extremely high unemployment and alcoholism rate.
Whiteclay is about 100 miles from The Great Plains Art Institute at Sinte Gleska University.
